Rotational power: the quality behind a better smash

Overhead power comes from the ground up. What rotational training actually needs to look like for padel players.

A smash is a sequence: force from the ground, transferred through the hips and trunk, delivered by a shoulder that can tolerate the speed. Training only the last link in that chain rarely changes the outcome.

Useful rotational work progresses from control, to strength, to speed. Each step has a purpose, and each one should be measurable.

Timing matters as much as output. Power that arrives before contact is wasted power.
